THE RIVERLINE STUDY -  PUBLIC MEETINGS

2024 will be a busy year for The Riverline. We are entering a new phase, where several required impact assessment studies and preliminary designs must be completed before construction can begin.

In February, C&S Engineers, Inc. will begin conducting The Riverline Study, which will analyze environmental, cultural, and community impacts related to building The Riverline. This study is a requirement of the New York State Department of Transportation. The Riverline team will be working closely alongside C&S throughout this process. The Study is expected to take approximately 10 months to complete.

Part of The Riverline Study includes a series of public meetings in the neighborhoods adjacent to The Riverline corridor, to give updates and ask for input as we move forward. These meetings are a very important part of this process, as we will be asking community members to help us make The Riverline the best it can be.

We recently completed the first round of public meetings in March. These meetings included presentations about what The Riverline Study is and how the process will unfold. This was followed by small discussions at various stations that focused on three topics: the community's vision and equitable development, The Riverline concept plan, and preliminary design and environmental considerations. In addition, attendees were encouraged to fill out an exit survey.

We will be holding more public meetings later this year: about mid-way through the study as well as toward the end when the study is wrapping up. Please check back for notifications of when these meetings will occur.
